THE UNCANNY COUNTER.

What apparently is a simple group of employees, like any other else, of a noodles shop, is something else as well: hunters of evil spirits that posess people already related with corruption and the evil.


Lo que aparentemente parece un simple grupo de empleados, como otro cualquiera, de una tienda de noodles, es también algo más: cazadores de espíritus malignos que poseen personas ya ligadas con la corrupción y el mal.

So Mun (Joe Byeong-Gyu) is a high school student who lost his parents in a car accident when he was a kid and since then, he has been living with his grandparents. Both he and his friends suffer bullying and because of that, he wishes his life to change at all cost.


So Mun (Joe Byeong-Gyu) es un estudiante de instituto que ha perdido de niño a sus padres en un accidente de coche y que, desde entonces, vive con sus abuelos. Tanto él como sus mejores amigos sufren bullying y en parte por ello desea que su vida de un giro a toda costa.





Ga Mo-Tak (Yu Jun-Sang) is a detective who suffered an accident that made him lose his memory and that, thanks to the group, will see (even though not as before)how everything will make sense for him again. He is one of the strongest and most loyal characters.


Ga Mo-Tak (Yu Jun-Sang) es un detective que sufrió un accidente que le hizo perder la memoria y que, gracias al grupo, verá, aunque ya no de la misma forma, cómo todo volverá a tener sentido para él. Es uno de los personajes más fuertes y más leales.





Do Ha-Na (Kim Se-Jeong) can sense evil spirits from hundreds of kilometers away and read the memories of the people she touches. She is also a very strong character, brave and a person full of tenderness. It's impossible not to adore her and not to want to be like her.

Do Ha-Na (Kim Se-Jeong) puede percibir espíritus malignos a cientos de kilómetros y leer los recuerdos de las personas al tocarlas. Es también una persona muy fuerte, valiente y es todo ternura. Es imposible no adorarla y querer ser como ella.





Chu Mae-Ok(Yum Hye-Ran). Besides being the cook of the noodle restaurant she is, so to speak, the boss of the group. She has the power of healing and also the power of filling our heart with pure love. But don't get carried away with her kindness because she also knows how to fight, and in what a way!


Chu Mae-Ok (Yum Hye-Ran). Además de ser la cocinera del restaurante es, por así decirlo, la jefa del grupo. Tiene el poder de la sanación y el de llenarnos el corazón de puro amor. Aunque no os dejéis de llevar por su bondad porque también sabe pelear, ¡y cómo!





By luck or by destiny, So Mun is chosen to be a part of this peculiar clan and it's there when the action starts.


Por suerte o por destino, So Mun es elegido para formar parte de este peculiar 'clan' y es ahí cuando la acción empieza.





With the help of Wi Gen (and the rest of the spirits inmigration office team) and Choi Jang-Mul (who is in charge of all expenses), the four of them will embark on an adventure that will make them 'travel' to the past to try to unravel a dark plot.


Los cuatro, junto con la ayuda de Wi Gen (y el resto del equipo de la oficina de inmigración de espíritus) y de Choi Jang-Mul (quien está a cargo de todos los gastos), se embarcarán en una aventura que les hará 'viajar' al pasado para intentar desenmarañar una oscura trama.




My opinion: I think 'THE UNCANNY COUNTER' (Yoo Sun-Dong, 2020) is a perfect series, it is fresh, free of clichés, and in which finally we women are given the great importance we deserve. It is also very nice how the writers Jang Yi, Yeo Ji-Na, Yoo Sun-Dong and Kim Sae-Bom also try to rid men of the oppresive society that the patriarchy is by creating, for instance, strong women who are independent and know how to fight and men who cry, accept when they lose and also learn how to redeem themselves. Because here all the characters have the same weight, they work as a team, they learn and build themselves together ... and each situation causes a lesson and makes your emotions bloom, I'd say that this is one of the most incredible series of last year, with such an unforgettable story and unforgettable actings.



Mi opinión: creo que 'THE UNCANNY COUNTER' (Yoo Sun-Dong, 2020), es una serie perfecta, fresca, libre de clichés, en la que se nos da (al fin) gran importancia a las mujeres. También está muy bien cómo los escritores Jang Yi, Yeo Ji-Na, Yoo Sun-Dong y Kim Sae-Bom intentan liberar a los hombres de esa sociedad tan opresora que es el patriarcado creando mujeres fuertes e independientes que saben cómo luchar, hombres que lloran y aprenden a aceptar la derrota y que saben redimirse.

Porque aquí todos los personajes tienen el mismo peso, trabajan en equipo, aprenden y suman juntos... y cada situación provoca una enseñanza, y saca a flote cada emoción, diría que es una de las series más increíbles del año pasado, con una historia inolvidable y unas actuaciones también inolvidables.
